So Were Making it free to study nursing and midwifery from 2023, for 17,000 more nurses and midwives.

Existing Nursing students can apply for undergrad roles, while they learn under our health system. 

The scholarships are available for existing nurses to up-skill in specialist areas that have high demand like Emergency and intensive care.

400 new paramedics in 2022 which already builds on 250 paramedics already recruited since November 2020 and on top of that more then 790 extra paramedics have been recruited since coming into Government in 2014.

400 more triple Zero staff will be able to help boost the Emergency call take center, to help build better support and surge capability for busy times and provide better support to front line workers.  

400 extra perioperative nurses and will help support to complete postgraduate training. While also giving the opportunity for 1,000 nurses to up skill in general surgery and recovery. 

2,000 ex-pat and international healthcare workers will come through an international recruitment drive. Almost 700 have arrived in the past year. These Healthcare workers have helped add more than 22,000 health workers in the public system since 2014.

A NEW Community Hospital in Diamond Creek which will provide range of services of a day hospital and primary healthcare services. It will put pressure off the Austin hospital and will have strong links specialists, Community health provides and social support services to help benefit the community.
