Fitzsimons Lane Upgrade

Upgrading Fitzsimons Lane reduces congestion in peak periods and provides more reliable travel times, improves safety and boosts walking and cycling around the community. Prior to the upgrade, the roundabout was both a safety hazard and bottleneck for commuters, this upgrade addresses these key problems and makes the journey safer and less congested.

Leane Drive

As part of the Fitzsimmons Lane Upgrade Project, traffic lights were installed at the Leane Drive intersection to improve safety for pedestrians and help the flow of traffic through Eltham and into Research.

Hurstbridge Line Duplication Stage Two

As part of the Hurstbridge Line Duplication, we are building new, modern stations at Greensborough and Montmorency, duplicating 2km of track between Greensborough and Montmorency, duplicating 1.5km of track between Diamond Creek and Wattle Glen, creating new pedestrian connection behind Diamond Valley College and upgrading Platform 2 at Diamond Creek Station.
Construction is set to be completed in 2023.

Bus Interchange at Greensborough Station

The Victorian Government is delivering new car parking spaces at Greensborough Station. The new car park will feature improved CCTV and lighting as well as more bicycle parking facilities. This project will be funded through the Victorian Government’s Car Parks for Commuters Program and the Australian Government’s Urban Congestion Fund and will deliver 100 new commuter carparking spaces and bus interchange

Eltham Primary School Upgrade

Funded under the Minor Capital Works Fund, Eltham Primary School will create a nature play space for students, making more outside spaces for kids to play.

Sherbourne Primary School Pride and Sports Fund

Through the School Pride and Sports Fund, Sherbourne Primary School was able to transform the school’s oval and surrounding areas, including paths, spectator seating and landscaping

Sherbourne Primary School Bathroom Improvements

Thanks to the Minor Capital Works Fund, Sherbourne Primary School was able to ensure modern, functional toilet facilities for students.

The project has recently progressed to the next stage with a builder having been appointed in December 2019.

St Francis Xavier Primary School Upgrades

Under the Capital Funding Program for Non-Government Schools, St Francis Xavier Primary School was supported in the refurbishment of their main buildings as well as upgrades to general purpose learning spaces and amenities.

Montmorency Primary Upgrade and Modernisation

We're upgrading the school’s 'Castle' building and kitchen to provide a new Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) space for students. The project will also deliver a multipurpose area with a music room and outdoor learning areas, upgrades to the administration building and a new staff room

Greenhills Primary School Upgrade and Modernisation

New science and food technology areas have been built in Greenhills Primary for use by students and the community. The hall has been upgraded for greater access, better AV systems in classes, new staff offices and acoustic upgrades to give students the best chance to succeed.

St Helena Secondary College Upgrade

As part of the ongoing upgrade over the last 7 years, St Helena college now has a new state-of-the-art gym, new athletics tracks, netball and soccer facilities, and community use bathrooms to be shared with Glen Katherine Primary School. The final stage under construction includes more upgrades to classrooms, staff areas and a new, permanent modular building.
