Better facilities are on their way for students at Apollo Parkways Primary School with the appointment of an architect to design the school’s important upgrade thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Member for Eltham, Vicki Ward today announced Ed Ewers Architecture would design works to be undertaken at Apollo Parkways Primary School to deliver a refurbished student toilet.

The Labor Government has provided $273,632 to go towards refurbishing of the student toilet block to improve amenity, cleanliness and hygiene.

The Victorian Budget 2022/23 invested $41.8 million in the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning spaces as well as the condition and character of schools.

Schools have been allocated funding to fast-track priority projects under the Minor Capital Works Fund to improve learning environments as well as the condition and character of schools.

In the past eight years, the Victorian Government has invested $12.8 billion in building new schools and more than 1,850 school upgrades, creating around 17,400 jobs in construction and associated industries. The Victorian Government is ahead of schedule in its commitment to deliver 100 new schools between 2019 and 2026, with 75 new schools opening between 2019 and 2024.
