The Allan Labor Government is helping our littlest people get the best start in life.
Briar Hill Preschool, Greenhills Preschool, Panorama Heights Preschool and Eltham South Preschool are recipients of the latest round of the Building Blocks Grant Program.
These successful grants will fund many improvements at the kindergartens, including upgrades to toilet facilities, learning spaces and office areas to enhance capacity, safety and functionality for both kids and staff.
Briar Hill Pre School will receive $448,000, funding renovations to children’s and adult’s toilet facilities as well as their kitchen, office space and storage areas.
On top of these important upgrades, 13 local preschools have also received funding for tablets, projectors, laptops, PA and network upgrades and more to improve these learning spaces.
The Building Blocks Program offers grants to contribute to kindergarten infrastructure and is critical to ensure the success of the roll-out of the Best Start, Best Life reforms across Victoria.
The Victorian Labor Government is transforming early childhood education to help children thrive, save families money and support parents – especially women – to return to work or study if they choose.

Quotes attributable to Member for Eltham, Vicki Ward
“We have amazing kinders in our community, nursing our little ones with a love of learning; importantly, learning through play.
The Allan Labor Government has introduced free kinder for 3- and 5-year-olds and are continuing the work to ensure our kinders are the best they can be - and the most inclusive they can be.
“Thank you to everyone - often volunteers - who worked hard on grant applications and those who volunteer in other activities to help improve our local kindergartens. If you’re interested in future rounds of funding, please contact me on 94391500 or email vicki.ward@parliament.vic.gov.au"
