APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2023 YOUTH ADVISORY COUNCIL

If you're a young person (15-21), interested in working with your peers to identify and offer solutions to issues of concern, I encourage you to join my Youth Advisory Council. As part of the council, you may bring these solutions to the community, local government representatives and relevant Ministers.

In previous councils, I have really enjoyed working with the young members of our community, hearing their perspectives and learning from them. I encourage all young people who wish to improve their community to apply.

My council will meet regularly to identify and discuss any local issues they have noticed, and how to address them. I will ask the Youth Advisory Council to actively advise me on youth policy issues, which my office will help facilitate. The council will also work on a project for the local community throughout the year that aligns with their chosen topic - like the Youth Art Show last year.
